Policy idea - Reforming the House of Lords
The House of Lords is ripe for reform. Hereditary peers remain, political appointments last for life, donors seem to frequently obtain peerages and allegations of corruption loom over the second chamber. In this document, our lead researcher, James Prentice, outlines how the second chamber could be reformed whilst keeping the valuable expertise the House of Lords provides to the legislative process.
